Traditional Significance of Diwali & Lakshmi Puja
Diwali Lakshmi Puja invokes Goddess Mahalakshmi, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, and Lord Kubera to dispel financial obstacles, illuminate life with spiritual knowledge, and invite lasting abundance into homes and businesses.
On the night of Deepavali Amavasya, Goddess Mahalakshmi traverses the earth seeking dwelling places adorned with light, purity, and devotion. Consecrating the residence or workplace with lotus flowers, pure cow ghee deepaks, and the Rigvedic Sri Suktam invites the Ashta Lakshmis (Eightfold Wealth) into the family, blessing them with vitality, courage, knowledge, and steady fortune.
